Myla dabelsio, size 10 and considered a plus size model?

Sorry, i haven't spoke in a while my life is a manic; A-level is taking over my life...

I type, Myla Dablesio onto Google and related images come up with 'plus size models'? Now the new face of Calvin Klein has become the center of attention of publicity due to her size - in matter of fact she is a size 10. Calvin Klein has been considered to be 'breaking the boundaries' due to the 'size' of their new face for their campaign - it is ludicrous that a size 10 is considered plus size; her height is 5'11 therefore it is all proportional.
Yes, it can be considered she is 'bigger' than any other models that has worked for Calvin Klein but time after time the Fashion Industry is slated due to their promotion of 'skinny girls'; yet when an average sized women stars in a high end designer there becomes an uproar that she is considered, 'too big'. It is like they are conforming to their own stereotypes of only 'skinny girls should feature in the modelling industry'.
Myla Dablesio explains how she is definitely a bigger girl which has starred in Calvin Klein which is quite intimidating yet the pressure of conforming to the typical size of a model was too much. Quite frankly the size of a women should all be natural to them, they should be proportionate and Myla Dablesio, her face is striking and she is quirky and original - she fits in very well.

18th September

Hi guys, I appologise for the lack of posts lately - sixth form has been taking over my life *shock*. So recently it was London Fashion Week and The Burberry Prorsum highlighted FW it was a beautiful show, Christopher Bailey took the plunged and paired reality with pure romanticism; combining Birkenstock- sandals with box- like denim jackets in the colour with a soft lilac suede creating an explosion of colour.
The look for SS15 was not the traditional trench coat but in fact a denim trench coat; think 80's subculture teamed with PVC leather lapels and a sheer tulle belt worn over transparent nude chiffon. The girls wore everything to fluffy fur coats to suede jackets with a slick vinyl collar. It captured the artisan approach which burberry had to offer; the make up was beautifully simple the models had a soft look combining with a touch of red lipstick creating the pure romanticism.

The Burberry show took place at Kensington Gardens; feeling secluded and removed from reality being able to soak up everything Burberry has to offer and really being able to be engrossed into the beautiful show which holds in front of you.

OOTD

Bonjour, recently i have been doing a lot of posts about the fashion industry, so i decided to write a little something about myself and my style. I would describe my style as very minimalist - you could say less is more. My style has evolved over the years quite dramatically i have gone through a range phases but lets face it, who doesn't? Anyway so today i decided to take a few photos to show you lovelies what my style is like:

Hello my lovelies, once again it is another new month - I can't believe how quickly this year has gone it has flown by! Anyway enough rambling on; Topshop, we have all heard of Topshop how could we not. It is the biggest high street designer and it always spread across magazines.
Topshop was founded in 1964 as Peter Robinson's Top Shop, a youth fashion brand within the Sheffield branch of Peter Robinson, a new defunct British department store range. Topshop had its first opening of a stand alone store in 1970, Topman was a spin off brand created to cater for men. It was so successful that it is now run as a separate chain although you still may find some stores are co-located. Over the years Topshop has done extremely well; it is the first high street retail store to appear in London Fashion Week and their clothes has been wore by many celebrities such as Alexa Chung, Kate Moss - who in fact has her own collection called 'Kate Moss x Topshop'. Her clothing range is effortless but also makes a statement which lives up to expectations of Topshop; their clothes are simple and versatile as they can be styled into anything to suit that individual person this is one of the reasons why Topshop is so popular.

28th August

Hello all, hope everything is well; today Cornwall was surprisingly sunny which was brilliant! Recently i expressed my love for fashion, now i will be expressing my love for i-D magazine. The British magazine was found by a former Vogue (another FANTASTIC magazine) art director Terry Jones in the 1980s. Personally what i love about i-D is not only does it dedicate itself to fashion it expands and dedicates itself to everything linked to fashion such as, art, music and youth culture. I find that the magazine is so popular because it has 'a bit of everything' which people have an interest in. i-D magazine has evolved over the years into a 'mature' glossy magazine but still has retained street style which is loved by its readers.

The magazine is well known for inventing The Straight up which is a documentary style of photography pioneered by Terry Jones. The Straight up is a West country expression meaning "tell it as it is" portraying the unexpected photographs of which i-D would pick people out from the street and it would follow by a Q&A. The winky smile, as soon as we see the winky smile most people instantly think of i-D. If its not winking then a streak of the models hair or a prop is their to cover one of the eyes. It creates such a unique branch of their magazine which makes their magazine so recognizable and individual.

Another reason for why i-D is one of my favourite magazines is because of the models which feature in them. I am an aspiring model and i find the models so edgy and unique, the women always look  so strong and almost heroic. Recently i-D released a look on their website called, "girls do not dress for the boys" conveying such a strong and almost feminist message that girls dress to their own taste, they wear what they want to wear.

Photgrapher Daniel Jackson has kept the setting of the shoot simple (the white background) but combined with styling of Alastair McKimm, such as the oversized jumper shown in picture two it portrays a look which hides the figure of the model but remains powerful and lives up the expectations of the look 'girls do not dress for the boys'.

Hello everyone, hope all is well! FASHION - one of my favorite things in the entire world; there are so many aspects to it which just make j'adore fashion. Watching the fashion weeks which are spread across the world are to me so exciting; you never really know what to expect every fashion week is so unique. London fashion week always is quite edgy, bold and diverse such as Burberry each season fashionistas fall in love with their collection; the classic trench coat each year is reinterpreted into something fresh and unique.
Christopher Bailey called the prorsum " The Bloomsbury Girls" inspired by the artsy, crafty literature people such as Virginia Wolf who in fact inhabited the Bloombury quarter of London and Charleston house in East Sussex. "Anything that moved they painted it"tying in with why the flowers were hand drawn and smothered everything to dresses, jackets and ponchos. Personally this was one of my favorite falls, everything worked perfectly together; giving it a romantic and cozy feel. Even though the patterns were very bold and almost quite tribal Burberry always contains that very Bristish feel to the clothes. The show was exquisite.
